As you first begin to learn about sex and your body it is important that you have access to the correct information, to keep you and your potential partners healthy and safe. You may learn about the many different organizations that provide sex education, support and birth control from the sites below.
Planned Parenthood
Planned Parenthood is a long standing health care provider and passionate advocate for sexual health resources. Visit PlannedParenthood.com for vital reproductive health care, sex education, and other sexual health information, including clinic locations.
LGBT National Help Center
24-7 helpline for GBLTs struggling with sexual identity issues. Counselors are specially trained for crisis and suicide calls from GBLT. All’s welcome.
New Jersey Youth Resource Spot
The New Jersey LGBTQ+ Youth Resource website offers vital support and information for LGBTQ+ youth in the state. It provides resources on health, mental well-being, legal rights, and community organizations. The site aims to empower young people with knowledge and connections, ensuring they feel supported and understood in their identities.
Scarleteen
Scarleteen provides comprehensive sex education for the real world, with inclusive, comprehensive and smart sexuality information and help directed at teens and 20’s. Check out their user friendly information sections including SexYouality, InfectionSection, ReproDepot and SexualPolitics.
Teen Health FX
TeenHealthFX is an online resource to answer any and all questions regarding teen health, relationships, emotional health and sexuality. The site offers many informative resources, but should not substitute talking to a doctor or your parents for serious issues!
Advocates for Youth
The Advocates for Youth champions fight to help young people make informed and responsible decisions about their reproductive and sexual health. They speak up by advocating for a more positive and realistic approach to teen sexual health, and provide sex education resources and promote rights, respect and responsibility.
