Mental Health
recently i just haven't been feeling good at all like i don't wanna self diagnose and say depression but honestly it's like textbook symptoms and i just don't know what to do. i'm not always sad but when i am it hits me so hard and i feel like i can't breathe. i struggle with a lot of anxiety and ive had panic attacks before but just thinking about me not being mentally okay is enough to make me spiral ans iys like a self fulfilling prophecy. i just don't know what to do anymore
So if you don't want to self-diagnose (which is a very good idea) the thing to do would be to get an actual diagnosis from a professional. This way you won't have to wonder or worry about what it is AND they can get you started on the process of getting help for what you're going through. Not being mentally ok is not an unusual thing. Some recent polls have 1 out of 3 people deal with some form of mental illness, so try not to let that be a cause of your spiral, but you have the ability to take steps to get help for what you're going through. Sorry to hear that you're struggling with this and hopefully taking the steps of diagnosis and getting help will start helping you feel better. If you want to talk about this more, please cal or chat with us anytime.
I'm really sorry to hear that you're feeling this way. It's clear that you're going through a tough time, and it's important to know that you're not alone in this. Here are some steps you can take that might help you feel a bit better:
1. Reach Out for Support: Talk to someone you trust about how you’re feeling—this could be a friend, family member, or a mental health professional. Sometimes just expressing what you’re going through can be a huge relief.
2. Consider Professional Help: If you haven't already, consider reaching out to a therapist or counselor. They can provide you with the tools and support you need to work through your feelings and develop coping strategies.
3. Practice Self-Care: Focus on taking care of your physical health. This includes getting enough sleep, eating well, and engaging in physical activity. Even small changes can have a positive impact on your mood.
4. Mindfulness and Relaxation Techniques: Explore mindfulness practices, such as meditation or deep breathing exercises. These can help ground you during moments of anxiety and reduce panic attacks.
5. Journaling: Writing down your thoughts and feelings can be a helpful way to process what you’re going through. It can also help you identify patterns in your emotions and triggers for your anxiety.
6. Limit Stressors: If possible, try to identify and limit any sources of stress in your life. This might include setting boundaries or saying no to additional responsibilities if you're feeling overwhelmed.
7. Engage in Activities You Enjoy: Spend time doing things that make you happy or help you relax. Whether it’s a hobby, spending time with loved ones, or being in nature, these activities can provide a much-needed break from negative feelings.
8. Be Gentle with Yourself: Remember that it's okay to feel how you feel. Healing takes time, and it's important to be kind to yourself during this process.
You are not alone, and there are people who want to help you. If you're ever feeling overwhelmed, please reach out for help. You deserve support and understanding as you navigate these feelings.
This is a safe space to share what's on your mind and to get support from real people.
