Stress and confusion snd many many questions

I dont know what i want to do with my life and i dont know what to do now. I dont grow up in the best household so i dont have anyone to go to. Im confused on what i want my future to be. Ive dreamed of becoming and actor but it almost seems impossible, im currently looking into nursing but its not somthing i want to do. I also feel so lost lately and turning back ti old habits. I lost someone really close to me, we grew apart and its been hard to except because they knew everything about me and i feel like im losing so many people. I know im only in highschool but no matter how hard i try to get out of bed i cant, i try so hard to move past and be happy and find joy but i cant and it just hurts a lot. Im also scared for my health. I don't know if its my environment but i feel like one moment ill be happy and the next i cant move and have no motivation. My parents would never take me to doctors so i guess i might never find out. I just wanted some advice on that. Is it normal? Should i speak to someone. And last thing. Is it normal to feel uncomfortable or not want a relationship to happen. Ive been talking to someone but i genuinely just have no motivation to speak to them. What is wrong with me.

2NDFLOOR

Thanks for reaching out to 2ndfloor. Its brave of you to reach out and ask for help. It sounds like you are overwhelmed and thinking about everything at once may not be helpful. Try to stay focus in the here and now. By taking steps and decisions one at at time will help ease some of these feelings. I am sorry your parents are not more helpful. Definitely ask for help at school from a counselor or social worker. They can help you navigate the referral process with your parents if you require more intensive therapy. In your junior or senior year there may be pressure to make life long decisions; however, not everyone is ready to make these types of decisions or know what they want. See if your counselor can help you find a career interest survey where you can match up your strengths and interests with some potential careers. You can also begin at a community college and take some liberal arts until you decide which path you want to go with. You may find out that you enjoy a particular area(s) of studies and decide that is what you want to pursue. Regarding relationships, please know that there is nothing wrong with you. Relationships take work and it is totally alright not to engage in another relationship until you feel you are ready for it. Please do not beat yourself up and take care of yourself because that is most important. Everything else will follow when you are ready. If you want to discuss any of these issues more, please chat with us on our 2ndlfoor app or call us at 888-222-2228.

I'm really sorry to hear that you're feeling this way. It's important to know that feeling lost or unsure about your future is common, especially in high school. Many people your age are exploring different interests and figuring out what excites them, so it's okay not to have everything planned out yet. If acting is your passion, consider taking classes or getting involved in school plays to see if it's the right path for you. Your mental health matters, and feelings of low motivation and sadness are significant; talking to a school counselor or trusted teacher could help you find support. Even if your home environment isn't ideal, try to identify positive influences in your life. Grieving the loss of someone close to you is natural, so allow yourself to process those emotions, perhaps through journaling or conversation. If you're feeling unwell, it's worth seeking help, even through school resources. It's also normal to feel uncertain about relationships, so take your time and don't rush into anything. Lastly, if possible, consider reaching out to a mental health professional for additional support. Remember, it's okay to seek help, and prioritizing your mental health is crucial—you don’t have to go through this alone.
