School
I am in middle school and I have a lot of trust issues due to past experiences. I have learned to trust 2 teachers at my school but one just left and the other is leaving. I’m not sure what to do because I don’t feel safe at school unless I know I can go see them if I need to. What should I do?
Trusting is difficult especially when you've had experiences that cause you to lose trust. The good thing is that you were able to eventually find and place your trust into someone...in fact 2 people. That means there are people out there you are comfortable trusting. Now if these two end up leaving you'll have to put you effort into finding others that you are able to put that same level of trust in. It may take time and the transition of them leaving might be difficult for you, but if you think that is something you need to have in school keep putting your efforts into finding others you could place your trust in. The school counselor might be a good place to start since they keep your conversations private (with some exceptions) as part of their job. If you wish to discuss this further, call or chat with us anytime.
This is a safe space to share what's on your mind and to get support from real people.
