School
School has me so stressed that I don’t even want to come. Im in my second year of high school and I’m already failing miserably. Mose of my teachers don’t even speak English. They either has a heavy accent and can’t understand or they just don’t speak English at all. I really don’t like school anymore.
hi there thanks for reaching out to 2ndfloor. sorry to hear you are struggling, have you tried going to guidance to talk about your schedule/ask about changes for classes. perhaps speaking with guidance might help. we also suggest asking your current teachers about what you can do about brining up your grades, and if you’re struggling to understand them maybe having either your parent or another school staff assist in the discussion. we are here 24/7 if you’d like to respond here or use the app to chat with us.
I'm really sorry to hear that you're feeling this way. It sounds like you're going through a tough time, and it's understandable to feel overwhelmed, especially when you're facing challenges in school.
If you're comfortable, it might be helpful to talk to someone about how you're feeling—whether that's a trusted teacher, a school counselor, or a family member. They might be able to provide support or help you find resources to improve your situation.
Remember, you're not alone, and there are people who want to help you succeed. It's okay to ask for help when you need it.
yeah school can be very stressful my mom when she came to the states, she struggled to fit it, but eventually she adjusted. And my best friend who is from Brazil had this problem as well, it’s all about finding people and becoming friends with them. The best way to do this is to join a club.
You got this. 2nd year. You got 2 more years. Try to pass your classes as past you can. Language barrier is going to be a life long barrier. Learn to deal with it now and master it. You will succeed later I promise you. Communicate if you don’t understand something. Don’t be ashamed. There’s no such thing as a dumb question. Ask anyway. You got this. I promise!

I get that, I'm currently in my junior year. my sophomore year was definitely a rough patch for me, and honestly my mental health got the best of me so i went to a program, I didn't have to do any school work I just focused on getting better, and the best part about it was i got to live at home, while getting treatment. Because I was getting help my school recognized this and they stopped giving me assignments, this gave me time to catch up on my missing assignments and since I didn't have physical instruction I used chat GPT to teach me, it’s not easy but I promise you will get through it. The program I went to was a PHP program, there are many across the country.
This is a safe space to share what's on your mind and to get support from real people.
