Hi there! Thank you for reaching out! It is sad when you can no longer take interest in something you once enjoyed because of someone else’s actions. Have you ever tried speaking with a guidance counselor about your dilemma? It would be very unfortunate if you did not pass the school year because of a challenge that can possibly be prevented. It is very possible that the guidance counselor can help to intervene in some way. Also, do any of your friends experience this problem? If so it might be helpful to have a couple of reports on this placed with the guidance counselor.

I am glad that there is a component to school that is bringing you joy, it serves as a reminder that school isn’t all bad! If you would like to talk about this or anything else further please reach out to one of our live counselors anytime through the chat box in our app! It only takes a SECOND to get the help you need.

sounds like you’re really struggling with school right now, and I’m sorry to hear that. It’s tough when a teacher's approach negatively impacts your learning and enjoyment of a subject you once loved. It’s great that you have found some relief and joy in the afterschool club with your friends—that can be a really important support system.

Have you considered talking to someone about how you’re feeling? Maybe a counselor or another teacher might be able to help you find ways to cope with your algebra class. Remember, it’s okay to ask for help when you need it. You’re not alone in this, and there are people who care and want to support you. Keep hanging in there!
