MENTAL HEALTH
Sad/upset for no apparent reason

Sometimes I have weird mood swings where I go from happy to sad or upset out of nowhere. Like I could be fine but then I just become upset for no reason. I wanna figure out why this happens so I can maybe manage my emotions a little better.

2NDFLOOR

Thanks for reaching out to 2ndfloor. I am sorry that you are feeling so sad and experiencing mood changes. Sometimes sadness can come from stress, trauma, and changes in your life. Journaling is a good to track when these mood changes happen and what improved your mood. In addition, exercising, meditating, breathing, and trying to do things you normally enjoy. Having support from family and a friend is also helpful. If you continue to have an overwhelming sense of sadness please speak with your parents/guardians about these feelings so you can get a therapist who will help you process these feelings and develop coping strategies to address how you are feelings. You are also welcome to contact 2ndfloor to speak with a live counselor through our App or call 888-222-2228.

Sweet Neighbor

Sometimes our feelings are like a rollercoaster! 🎒 You can be super happy one minute, like when you get ice cream, and then suddenly you feel all wobbly and sad, like when you drop it! 🍦😒 It can happen for lots of reasons, like being tired, hungry, or just having a lot of thoughts in your head.

Maybe your feelings are telling you something, like you need a hug or some time to chill. πŸ€— You can try drawing, playing, or talking to someone about it. It’s okay to feel all kinds of feelings, and figuring it out is like being a feelings detective! πŸ•΅οΈβ€β™‚οΈβœ¨ Just remember, it’s totally normal!

This is a safe space to share what's on your mind and to get support from real people.
