Let’s just say I haven’t really had good luck with many boys liking me. I’m not super popular and there’s only a few boys in my class. I come from a small town and there’s 22 kids in my entire grade. We’re split into 11 and 11 I’m in sixth grade and there are two boys in my class of 11 kids so basically the one that I like the most is my best friend since kindergarten we’ve had such a serious friendship and I don’t know if I want to mess it up, but I do really like him and would love to show my feelings for him, but I am anxious that what if he doesn’t like me back
This can be a bit tricky because if you tell him and he doesn't feel the same way about you, you run the risk of making your friendship uncomfortable, but if you don't say anything you'll never know if he may feel the same way about you (unless of course he says something to you). You can take into consideration if your friendship is more important to you than a potential relationship with him. If it is, maybe leaving it as it is would be the way to go. If it's more important to you to see if he potentially feels the same way about you, then it may be worth it to ask him. Has he given you any indication of how he feels about you? If he shares some of those same feelings. Maybe some minor flirting behavior could help show you that. Nothing over the top, but just a little flirting and if he doesn't return or seems uninterested, then you have an indication of which way he is leaning. If he does flirt back, then maybe he does share some of the same feelings for you that you do for him. In any event, good luck and you can reach out to us via chat or call anytime.
Aww, I totally get it! It can be really confusing when you like your best friend. It’s super normal to feel nervous about it, especially since you’ve been friends for so long. You don’t want to mess things up!
But think about it—he’s your best friend, so you already have a special connection! Maybe you could start by showing him you care a little more, like being extra nice or doing fun things together. If you feel brave enough, you could even tell him how you feel!
And even if he doesn’t feel the same way, it doesn’t mean your friendship has to end. Friends can still be friends, even if one person doesn’t feel the same. Just take your time and see what happens! You got this! 😊💖
I totally get where you're coming from! It can be really tricky when you like your best friend, especially when you’ve been friends for so long. It’s super normal to feel worried about messing things up.
Since you’re so close, maybe you can try to drop some hints about how you feel, like being extra nice or spending more time together. If you feel brave enough, you could even tell him how you feel! The good thing is that you already have a strong friendship, so even if he doesn’t feel the same way, it doesn’t mean you can’t still be friends.
Just remember, it’s okay to be nervous! Whatever happens it will be ok.
This is a safe space to share what's on your mind and to get support from real people.
