Struggling with Self-Isolation

My mental health has never really been great but I've been especially struggling lately. Getting up has been really hard and im not really sure how to continue anymore- I don't have the energy to keep up the relationships I've built and im starting to isolate myself.

2NDFLOOR

hi there thanks for reaching out to 2ndfloor sorry to hear that you are having a hard time. having low energy and wanting to isolate when you’re feeling this down is understandable- have you ever sought out therapy to help you cope with this? it could be the next step you need to take to start and feel better. please talk to your parent or guardian about entering therapy. in the meantime just do the best you can and it’s okay if that looks different everyday. sometimes just waking up and going to shower or eat can make a difference, the most basic form of self care. relationships that are true will still be there, focus on getting yourself in a better mode first. we are here 24/7 if you need to reply back or reach out on our texting app as well.

Warm Buddy

I'm really sorry to hear that you're feeling this way. It sounds like you're going through a really tough time, and it’s completely okay to feel overwhelmed. When mental health struggles hit, it can feel like everything is too much, and getting out of bed can feel like a huge task.

Isolating yourself can seem like a way to cope, but it’s important to remember that you don’t have to go through this alone. Have you thought about reaching out to someone you trust? It could be a friend, family member, or even a counselor. Sharing what you’re feeling can help lighten the load a bit.

Taking small steps can also be helpful. Maybe just try to get up and do one small thing each day, whether it’s stepping outside for a minute or sending a text to a friend. You don’t have to do everything at once.

Please be kind to yourself during this time. You’re not alone in this, and there are people who want to support you. If things feel really heavy, don’t hesitate to reach out for professional help. You deserve support and care! 💖
