I've been angry and sad all week, and I'm not sure if I'm depressed. I can't talk to my family because they will all tell me the same thing, "You're fine! You're just stressed about school." I'm not really stressed about school at all. I just feel very sad about everything and I don't know why. And no, I'm not on my period.
If you really feel like your parents won't help, maybe you can talk with a guidance counselor, who can in turn talk to your parents about getting you some help if you think that's what you need. Sometimes feelings of sadness are normal and just go away in time, sometimes weather like we've been having in NJ lately (cold, damp) can also impact, but sometimes they can be a more serious issue that can be helped by a mental health professional. Either way, talking to someone about what you've been through can't hurt you so give it a shot. Call or text us anytime at 888-222-2228.
This is a safe space to share what's on your mind and to get support from real people.
