Family
Ever since October of 2024, I've been passing out. My family knows about this and last night I had very bad body pain. I told my mother "I can't live with this pain anymore, I need to drop out of school because I've been missing a lot!" As I was in tears. I now have 18 absences. My mother won't let me drop out and she makes this problem more difficult then it has to be. I have dizzy spells, headaches, and passing out problems. I am 16 years old. What do I do...
hi there thanks for reaching out to 2ndfloor. this sounds very serious- have you asked mom or another parent to bring you to the doctor? if she is unwilling -maybe try going to school so that you can see the nurse there to get clinical recommendation on how to move forward. reply back, call, text, or chat in the appt for more help. thank you.
I'm really sorry to hear that you're having such a tough time. It's super important to take care of yourself, especially with all the problems you're having, like passing out and feeling pain. You should try talking to your mom again and explain how bad you feel and how it's affecting your schoolwork. Maybe you can ask a doctor to help explain things to her, so she understands how serious it is. It might also be a good idea to talk to a school counselor or another adult you trust who can help you and support you. Remember, your health is the most important thing, and it's okay to ask for help to make things better.
This is a safe space to share what's on your mind and to get support from real people.
