Substance Abuse
I have been struggling with excessive weed use for about two months and quit cold turkey 3 days ago after greening out. I was doing fine till I relapsed last night. The next morning was hell I felt like I was the worst ever I was so mad at myself but I called the 988 hotline and they recommended that I come here so now I’m here and I want to know any ideas on how to cope with my withdrawals (Anxiety and sweats).
We are so glad you reached out to 2ndfloor. It sounds like you are trying to quit; however, quitting cold turkey and on your own may be difficult. The anxiety and sweat you are feeling are all part of the withdrawal. I would imagine that having these physical symptoms can be frightening and uncomfortable. If you continue to feel sick, please go to the emergency room so they can give you a through exam. If you are living with your parents or guardian, please talk to them about your symptoms so they can also help you get the right help. If you are in school, please speak with the Student Assistance Counselor (SAC) and specializes in substance abuse. Just know that you are not alone. If you are young adult, please seek out some support.
