In school my long time best friend is replacing me with so many people and we’re drifting apart. Every time I confront her about she ether gets mad at me or doesn’t care the next day. It’s like one were bff forever and the. The next she with a new friend and she just ignores me. I can’t really drop her as her mom knows my mom and we are suppose to be bff. And sometimes I feel like everyone likes her better then me not just at school everywhere. Sometimes I just feel like I’m not enough. What should I do???

I'm really sorry you're feeling this way. It sounds like you're having a hard time dealing with the loss of your friendship, and it's okay to feel confused and hurt. Sometimes friendships change over times as people grow apart due to different interests, hobbies, activities, etc. While it is a normal part of growing up, it still hurtful. If you have tried talking to her and she continues to ignore you, you may want to consider if this is the type of friend you want in your life. I would also speak with you mother that your friendship has changed and that you are no longer pursuing it.
Friendships come and go and it is not a reflection of who you are as a person. It is important that you work on feeling good about yourself and this will improve yourself confidence. Meeting new people maybe a little scary at first but take your time and get to know them well. Try to joining different activities and see if you meet new people who share similar interests. It sounds like you're going through a really tough time with your friendship, and it's completely valid to feel hurt and confused by the changes in your relationship. Here are some steps you might consider taking:

1. Reflect on Your Feelings: Take some time to understand how you feel and why. Acknowledge your emotions—it's okay to feel sad, left out, or insecure.

2. Communicate Openly: If you feel comfortable, try talking to your friend again. Choose a calm moment to express how you're feeling without placing blame. Use "I" statements, like "I feel sad when I see you spending time with others," instead of "You never hang out with me anymore."

3. Focus on Yourself: While it's natural to want to maintain the friendship, also focus on your own interests and friendships. Spend time with other friends or engage in activities that make you happy.

4. Set Boundaries: If your friend continues to treat you in a way that feels hurtful, it might be necessary to set some boundaries. You deserve to be around people who value and appreciate you.

5. Seek Support: Talk to someone you trust, like another friend or a family member, about how you're feeling. They may provide comfort and perspective.

6. Consider New Connections: While it's tough to let go of a long-time friendship, making new friends can help you feel more supported and fulfilled.

7. Self-Compassion: Remind yourself that your worth is not defined by your friendship with one person. You are enough just as you are.

Remember, friendships can change over time, and that's a normal part of life. Focus on what makes you happy and seek out relationships that bring you joy and support.

I'm really sorry to hear that you're feeling this way. It’s tough when a close friend starts drifting away and you feel replaced. It’s understandable to feel hurt and confused, especially since you’ve been best friends for a long time. It might help to have another honest conversation with her about how you’re feeling, but if she continues to dismiss your feelings, it could be worth considering how her behavior affects you. Remember, true friends should make you feel valued and appreciated. If you feel comfortable, try to reach out to other people and make new connections, too. You deserve friends who recognize your worth and care about your feelings. And if you ever feel overwhelmed, talking to someone like a trusted adult or counselor can really help you sort through your feelings. Remember, you are enough just as you are!
