i have to be the dumb friend. i am surrounded by friends who all take ap classes and honors and there’s just me who takes normal classes and fails at those. all my friends have high gpas and mine is low. i can barely spell and comprehend what i read. i have told people that i struggle with comprehension and they always tell me to try ive been try since i was a kid im honestly done trying
Sounds like you're frustrated, and understandably if you've been trying so hard for so long. When you talk about being able to barely spell and read and the people you've told, have you talked to your school teachers, counselors, medical doctor, principal, etc. that you're having these issues? In most cases when someone has significant reading and comprehension issues, the school could take steps to get them extra help. Also, try to keep in mind that intelligence comes in many different forms, not just book smarts. Some people are artistically inclined, others might do well with mechanics and putting things together, others might be good with electronics and the list can go on and on. In short, just because you can't keep up with your friends in AP classes doesn't make you "dumb" so you shouldn't refer to yourself that way if possible and try to find the areas you excel at and keep trying to work hard at your grades.
