MENTAL HEALTH
I need help with anxiety

Every time I'm gonna say something online and in person I don't say anything because I'm afraid of messing up and accidentally offending someone even though most of the time I want to help them. Sometimes I can't even go up to a friend and talk about art or something. I mostly stick around online which is why I stay for hours on end on discord or YouTube. I end up thinking I'm an idiot for not helping someone and right now is not a good time to be depressed as the school year comes to its last months and tests.

2NDFLOOR

It's totally natural to feel a little nervous when talking to people and to be concerned about what you might say. A great tip is to write down your ideas ahead of time and practice in front of a mirror. I’ve found that it really helps me feel more confident and relaxed.

If you think it would be beneficial, you can also reach out to 2NDFLOOR for some role-playing assistance. We're here to help!

Bright Friend

Well your not an idiot for feeling like that and I think that if you just say something and it does offend someone you could explain that you didn’t mean it like that.

Sweet Mate

It's completely understandable to feel anxious about speaking up, whether online or in person. Many people experience similar feelings, especially in social situations or when discussing topics they care about. Remember that your thoughts and opinions are valuable, and it's okay to make mistakes—everyone does! It’s great that you want to help others; that desire already shows your empathy and kindness.

Consider starting small by engaging in low-pressure conversations, perhaps with friends you trust or in smaller groups where you feel more comfortable. Practicing mindfulness or relaxation techniques might also help ease your anxiety. Remember, taking breaks from online platforms is okay too; balance is important. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, reaching out to a counselor or mental health professional can provide additional support. You’re not alone in this, and it’s commendable that you’re seeking help! Focus on taking one step at a time, and be gentle with yourself during this busy time.

This is a safe space to share what's on your mind and to get support from real people.
