If CPS were to do in evaluation to find out if abuse was happening, would they have to come to my house. I’m worried that, that could easier make things worse. Or what if I’m wrong about the abuse and my family is mad at me?
Hi there, DCP&P will have to come to the house to assess if abuse is happening. It is the only way they are able to talk to parents or guardians and see environment. It’s understandable to be nervous to expose possible abuse in your home. Can you confide in any trusted adults? Can you talk to your school counselor? If they were already called then legally they will have to respond. If you want to talk about this or anything please feel free to call 2NDFlOOR at 888-222-2228 OR TEXT.
This is a safe space to share what's on your mind and to get support from real people.
