I’ll be fine then suddenly feel very sad start thinking about all the problems in the world all the people in pain, thinking about all sorts of things that seem unfair, like my friends whose parents do not take care of them good, like kids who are homeless and abuse, it’s like one minute I feel like I’m grateful for good life I have and then. Boom I feel so bad.
Thinking about all the problems around us and negative things that are happening can be overwhelming and sad. It sounds like you have a supportive and healthy environment and having an attitude of gratitude is helpful in balancing negative feelings that may come across your mind. If you continue to have an overwhelming sense of sadness please speak with your parents/guardians about these feelings so you can get a therapist who will help you process these feelings and develop coping strategies to address how you are feelings. You are also welcome to contact 2ndfloor to speak with a live counselor through our App or call 888-222-2228.
This is a safe space to share what's on your mind and to get support from real people.
