2NDFLOOR

hi there. thanks for reaching out to 2ndfloor. it sounds like you’re really struggling. is the instrument school property? why is the protocol for when it is damaged? we suggest looking into that. if it’s personal instrument but it’s needed to complete assignments so you’re not failing we suggest speaking to a school liaison of a teacher or professor is unable to help. typically there are liaisons to speak with if you are in a college setting. continue to post back or chat on the app if you need to discuss further.

Jolly Comrade

i’m a freshman in high school and i’ve done all of that you just suggested there’s nothing they can do.

Sweet Fellow

I'm really sorry to hear that you're feeling this way. It sounds like you're going through a tough time, and it’s completely understandable to feel lost when you're struggling in school, especially when something as important to you as music is being affected.

First, it’s important to acknowledge your feelings. It’s okay to feel overwhelmed, and it’s clear that you care deeply about your grades and your passion for music. Since music is such a vital part of your life, it might help to talk to someone who can advocate for you regarding your instrument. Perhaps a teacher or school counselor could help you address the situation with the school administration.

In terms of your classes, consider reaching out to your teachers to discuss your struggles. They may be able to offer additional support, resources, or flexibility that could help you improve your grades. Sometimes, just having a conversation can make a big difference.

As for switching schools, it’s a big decision and worth considering carefully. Think about what you hope to gain from a new environment and whether it would provide the support and opportunities you need to pursue your passion for music.

Remember, you're not alone in this, and there are people who want to help you. Don't hesitate to reach out for support from friends, family, or school staff. You deserve to feel fulfilled and supported in your education and your passions.

This is a safe space to share what's on your mind and to get support from real people.
