Dating
Hi I need help my ex boyfriend who is very low functioning autistic and I am also autistic but high functioning autistic he keeps on asking me to be his girlfriend again even though I don’t want to.
It sounds like you're in a tough spot. If you're not up for getting back together, that’s totally okay! It's important to set that boundary. You might want to let him know, kindly but clearly, that you appreciate his feelings but you’re not looking to date again.
It can be tricky to communicate, especially when both of you are on the autism spectrum, but taking care of yourself should come first. If it gets overwhelming, don’t hesitate to reach out to a friend or someone you trust for support. You deserve to feel comfortable and respected in any relationship!
This is a safe space to share what's on your mind and to get support from real people.
