MENTAL HEALTH
The future

Lately it’s been hard to even think about a future. I’ve been struggling with a lot of mental health issues and it’s been affecting me a lot more recently. My friend also called me yesterday having some thoughts of doing and I feel like I wasn’t much help when he had called and expressed what he was feeling/doing. It did bring back memories from my childhood and it’s been really hard to cope today. I just feel stuck and like I won’t be able to move forward in life.

2NDFLOOR

I am sorry you are feeling this way. I am not sure what you mean by your friend was having some thoughts of doing? What were they having thoughts about? It sounds like you could use someone to talk to about your feelings and your past too. Do you see a therapist? Do you have someone you can speak to? If not, you can always call or text 2nd floor and we talk you tough things and make suggestions too. You can use our app or just call or text to 888-222-2228. Please reach out when you can.

Cheerful Neighbor

I'm really sorry to hear that you're feeling this way. It's important to talk about what you're going through, and reaching out for help is a brave step. Have you considered speaking with a mental health professional? They can provide support and guidance tailored to your situation.

As for your friend, it's understandable to feel overwhelmed and unsure of how to help. Sometimes, just being there to listen can make a big difference. If you’re comfortable, consider checking in on them again to see how they’re doing.

Remember that it’s okay to take things one step at a time. You're not alone in this, and there are people and resources that can help you through tough times.
