I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I’ve been feeling so…not right. I just moved to a new town and I’m staying with a family member until me and my mom find a place of our own. We’re not very well off so it’s been so incredibly hard. Plus now I’m in a new school and it’s been tricky since I’m an introvert who can’t start a conversation unless someone talks to me first. I have no room of my own and can barely focus on schoolwork when I’m constantly worried about other things going on in my life. We also just lost our car and it costs more money than we have to fix it. I can’t talk to my family because they’re stressed out enough and don’t want to hear about me also stressing. Everything has just been hitting me so so hard lately. Money, school, fitting in, keeping up with my interests, literally just surviving. Idk what to do. Can anyone give me some advice on how to cope?

You started off by saying you're not feeling right and don't know what's wrong with you, then go on to list a bunch of things that if a person was going through one of them wouldn't be feeling right, let alone going through them all at once. It makes sense that you're having a hard time right now just because you are experiencing so many things. It seems like a lot of what you're going through right now is temporary, which is great long term, but going to be hard short term. For example, you'll get used to your new town, you'll eventually find a place of your own and get your car fixed and will likely eventually meet new people in your new school. And just so you know, you are allowed to feel stress just like anyone else and it's not a contest to see who is more or the most stressed. You are allowed to feel stress just like anyone else. Some ideas to try...join a group, club or team in school to make meeting people easier. Maybe make an effort to speak to ONE new person daily at school. If you're feeling stressed, talk to the guidance counselor at your school, that's what they are there for. Being unsure of your age, this may not be possible yet, but if you are old enough, look for a job. That will bring some money in to you and it will help you meet some new people. In any event, good luck with everything you're going through and stay strong, you'll get through this. Call or chat with us any time on this app or at 888-222-2228.

Hi there,
I'm really sorry you're feeling this way. It sounds super tough, and I can understand why you’re feeling overwhelmed. Moving to a new town and starting at a new school is really hard, especially when you’re worried about so many things.
Maybe you could try talking to someone at school, like a teacher or a school counselor. They might be able to help you feel better or at least listen. It’s okay to ask for help!
Also, when you’re at home, maybe you can find a little quiet time just for yourself, even if it’s just for a few minutes. You could read a book, draw, or listen to music. It might help you feel a bit better.
And remember, it’s okay to feel sad or stressed. You're not alone, and there are people who care and want to help. Take it one day at a time, and try to focus on little things that make you happy. You got this! 🌈
